computer issues regarding performance?
I have a desktop with a p4 proc and with currently integrated graphics and 1 gb memory seperated on two chips. How much will the computer speed up realistically if I upgrade to 2gb on 2 chips. I have a dell e 310
Answer:
RAM is the best thing to upgrade.
BUT
The trouble is that your processor is showing its age. so you cant expect miracles 
if it were me I would honestly not upgrade the ram at all. if you gave me your computer and said to "do what I want with it" to speed it up. I would clean EVERYTHING off the hardrive and install just the operating system. and see how 1 gig of ram runs it at that point.....
trying to "clean up" the software on a computer that has years of use on it is a lost cause. I dont care what tricks people say they have in their bag. ....but yeah when speaking strictly about RAM you might or might not notice a huge difference it performance there are to many variables...
