Dell Inspiron 580 Review - Amazing Features For a Budget Desktop
It might not be the ideal computer for the person who needs lots of storage space but for the price it is offered at is more than ideal for most computing purposes.
In the looks department, this computer is attractive with its honeycomb patterning. Depending on how you like to place your desktop, you could place the Inspiron 580 either vertically or horizontally. This computer is much slimmer than others in the same range and is therefore space saving. It comes with a generic keyboard and a curved mouse which is comfortable to use.
Technically, this budget computer rates quite highly. It is powered by either Intel Core i3 (4MB Cache 3.06GHz) or Intel Core i5 (8MB Cache, 2.66GHz) processors guaranteeing plenty of power. It has a memory of 4GB DDR3 and a hard drive of either 320GB - 7200RPM or 750GB - SATA-II, 3Gb/s, 7200RPM. The operating system is Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit and it comes with a ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3 Video card. Additionally, this PC is offered with security software from McAfee Security Center for a fifteen month period.
Perhaps the only drawback to this otherwise great computer is the storage space. The 320GB space offered might not be very ideal for heavy users but, remembering that this is a budget desktop, this space should be ideal for most people on a budget. Also, remember that this desktop is supplied without a monitor and you will have to source this elsewhere. On the positive side, the Inspiron 580 is highly upgradable and generally performs quite well. It is hard to find budget desktops that can be upgraded as most of the ones in the market are built on old technology which does not allow upgrading. For this reason alone, the Inspiron 580 is worth considering.
While the price of this desktop is certainly pocket friendly, you stand to obtain it at an even lower price if you make use of discount coupons.
