Do You Need A Valuable Printer? Explore How The Dell S2500 Printer Is An Economical Move Towards A Truly Professional Business Office
All smaller printers will have some installation issues from time to time, and for those that aren't familiar with printers in general, it can be a pain. But it doesn't have to be and the Dell S2500 printer using Dell S2500 Toner is one of the easiest printers out to install new memory cards, clear paper jams, and troubleshoot if you need to. Check out these tips that can easily help you out.
Optional Drawer Installation: If you need to add another drawer or simply want to install the 500-page drawer, it is actually something really easy to do. Turn off any power source to the printer, ensure that the printer is completely unplugged from the network that it is on, and make sure that the cord is unplugged from the power supply as well. Once it's disconnected, follow the instructions that came with the drawer you have purchased and your printer will be ready to go.
Memory Card Installation: There are times when you might need a bit of extra memory for your S2500 printer. You can find these cards at most computer and printer retailers, just make sure that you pick up a printer card or flash card and they need to have 100-pin connectors. Now, when you are ready to install the card, make sure that you touch a metal piece before you touch the card as static electricity can wipe the card out. Now, open the top of the printer by the latches on the sides, then firmly push the memory card into the slot. You'll feel a distinct "snap" and you're done.
Raise the Paper Rest: This is one of the simplest things to do on the Dell S2500 printer. Simply pull out the paper rest toward the front of the printer and it will raise to the desired height. By raising it, your paper won't have the opportunity to fall to the floor if too many documents are printed at once.
Operator Panel Overlay: For those that aren't familiar with this, the operator panel overlay is a plate on the front of this Dell printer that tells you what is going on in the printer. There are different overlay panels for those that need it in another language beside English. To install a new overlay, choose the desired language, peel off the backing, and line up the holes on the new overlay with the buttons below. Simply press the new overlay down and you're ready to go.
Side Cover Removal: There are several times that you might have to remove the side cover on this Dell printer, such as to replace the S2500 Toner or clear a paper jam. Simply open the upper front door and the multipurpose door by pressing the two tabs. Then, slide the side cover off of the back side of the printer. You'll then be able to put the memory card in, change cartridges, or clear paper jams.
Removing the Shield: On the Dell S2500 printer, you will find the shield under the side cover that you will probably have to remove every now and then. You need to remove the side cover as explained above, then loosen the screws that you find there, there should be six. Do not take them completely off. Now, you need to slide the cover toward the left until the loosened screws fit into keyholes there. You will feel it stop and then you'll be able to pull the shield off.
And, those are the normal installation and areas that you might have to fix or deal with on your Dell S2500 printer. As you can see, these are extremely easy, which makes this printer one of the best smaller laser printers out there for your budget and computer knowledge.
