Thats a solid video card you picked out. Personally I'd go with a Geforce GTS 250 card myself, they're about the same price, and the 260 is a generation newer. 1 gig of RAM meets the minimum specs for most games, although you'd probably get better results with 2 gigs or more, and RAM is a relatively cheap upgrade anyhow.
Your CPU is going to be your biggest limiting factor though. You can pick up a good dual core processor, of at least 2.5Ghz, for well under $100, and it would be money well spent to complement your new video card. I just saw a 2.5Ghz dual core E5200 for $70, including shipping, on the site I linked below.
